Hello Everyone!
It is almost the end of July now, which means it is time to tell you all about my what I’m planning to read in August! I wasn’t sure how to do this months TBR since I have two 24-hour-readathons planned, so those will of course have separate TBRs, but I haven’t decided what is going to be on those yet. I therefore decided to include the 3 books I know I must read this month and then I will simply talk a little about my readathon plans and what books I am thinking of reading! I hope that makes sense, but if you want to follow my readathons more closely then you can follow me on Instagram (@theoriginalbookdragon) for real time updates and on YouTube where I will be vlogging the whole thing!
That’s quite enough chatter now, so let’s just get into it:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows (books 5,6 and 7)
For those of you who don’t know, I have been doing a book vs movie comparison series for Harry Potter this summer, which of course means I need to read the books again! As I am writing this, I have just started on Goblet of Fire and intend to finish it before August starts, which will just leave me with the final 3 books. I plan to have all of my book vs movie posts up by the beginning of September, so keep an eye out for them and come and chat to me about all things Harry Potter if you love them just as much as I do 😁😍
Reading the rest of the Harry Potter series if my only real reading priority in August, so I didn’t want to clutter my TBR with lots of other books that I then feel pressured to read, so instead I just thought I would quickly mention some of the books I am thinking of reading in my up-coming readathons: ‘HeartStopper Vol 2’ by Alice Oseman, ‘Caraval’ by Stephine Garber, ‘Radio Silence’ by Alice Oseman, ‘Moxie’ by Jennifer Mathieu and ‘The Trouble With Perfect’ by Helena Duncan
There are so many books I’d like to get to this year, but these are the ones I think will be best for my readathons because most of them are short and/or contemporary, which I tend to read much faster. Like I said at the beginning, if you want to hear about my readathons in more detail, then you can follow me on Instagram (@theoriginalbookdragon) and YouTube for a vlog of the day (Samantha Drage)! What are you planning on reading in August? I’d love to know, so leave a comment down below or come and chat to me over on Instagram!
Goodbye for now!
