Hello Everyone!
Long time no see! I know I have been away for a while because of my exams, but I am back at least for a little bit. I can’t commit to two posts a week like I did last year at the moment because I still have some upcoming exams (I will explain more in my Life Update that I am going to post on Tuesday!). My blog hasn’t been the only thing that I have fallen behind on though because I have also been struggling to find the time and the motivation to read. I haven’t done a reading wrap-up yet this year because I haven’t really read enough to warrant one, but I will hopefully be doing one at the end of April to cover the entire year so far.
2019 didn’t start off great for me, but with the beginning of a new quarter of the year, I decided I would get back on track with my reading, so I have a lose TBR for you all for April. I may or may not stick to it, but it is something, so let’s get into it:
The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck by Sarah Knight
One of the few books I have managed to read in 2019 is ‘Get your shit together’ by Sarah Knight and found it really valuable, so I thought having a go at another one of her books would be a good idea. ‘Get Your Shit Together’ is the only book I have read in 2019 that I have felt any motivation to read, so I thought that might be the same for her second book. I have already started it as I am writing this and I am finding that that is the case. I have been keeping up with reading every day since April started, so I think it was definitely a good call to start with this one.
City of Fallen Angels and City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
All of my exams and coursework that I have had to do brought my Cassandra Clare re-read to a grinding halt. I really want to try and get The Mortal Instruments done before my next round of exams though before I move onto reading The Dark Artifices and all of CC new releases that are coming out this year.
I am only putting those 3 books on my official TBR for April, so as not to pressure myself too much, but I am hoping to get more than that read. I am on Easter Break now, so I should have some more spare time to read and I may even try and plan a readathon in the next two weeks. This has been a short post, but I hope you can all understand that I’ve got a lot going on at the moment and I hope that your reading year is going a little better than mine!
Goodbye for now!
