Hello Everyone!
It is almost February, which means it is time to talk about what I plan to read in the month ahead. Usually, I would do my wrap-up of the previous month first and then do a TBR, but I have switched them around this month because of where the dates fall. I want to take advantage of those last few days of January to catch up to where I should be with my TBR because the first half of January was pretty darn hectic for me. I will talk more about that in my wrap-up on Friday, but for now I want to talk about the books I want to read next month!
City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
I am assuming when I write this TBR that I will have read up to City of Fallen Angels and will therefore be able to continue on with my Shadowhunters re-read with City of Lost Souls. It is going a little slower than I originally anticipated because I didn’t realise just how much time all of my exam prep would take, but that’s okay.
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
I will then of course be finishing the mortal instruments series with City of Heavenly Fire
Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare
I am hoping to have already read the Bane Chronicles in January, so the only book I will then have left to read before I can FINALLY read The Dark Artifices is Tales from the Shadowhunter academy, which of course come before them. I may also be able to start The Dark Artifices in February, but I haven’t included it on my official TBR, so I don’t put too much pressure on myself.
Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight
The final book that I am putting on my ‘official TBR’ is ‘Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight. If you read my December/January book haul last week (link here: https://www.samanthadrage.co.uk/2019/01/25/december-january…k-haul-2018-2019/), then you will know that this is a recent purchase. I have been wanting to read one of these since I got them and I thought this would be a good one to start with to help me get my sh*t together in time for my exams later this year.
This is of course only a tentative TBR because it is assuming that I complete my January TBR, but I have also left it very small this month because I do have an awful lot on my plate at the moment and don’t want reading to become something I’m stressing about. What is on your February TBR? How is your reading year going so far? I’d love to know, so leave a comment down below or come and chat to me over on my Instagram (@theoriginalbookdragon)!
Goodbye for now!
