Hello Everyone!
November has ended and we are now a whole week into December, which is absolutely wild to me! I know everyone says that they can’t believe the end of the year is almost here, but I truly cannot fathom how fast this year has gone. 2018 has been one of the best and one of the worst years of my life so far, but I will be talking more about 2018 and what I am hoping for in 2019 later this month. For now let’s talk about the books I read in November!
Dear Evan Hansen the Novel by Val Emmich
I’m sure a lot of you have heard of the ‘Dear Evan Hansen Novel’ that was released in October because everyone has been talking about it and for good reason in my opinion! I discovered the soundtrack to the musical earlier this year at the end of August and instantly fell in love. I am still listening to the songs on repeat months later and I can see myself doing that for the foresable future too. They have helped me through so much these past few months and the Novel was no different. I related to so many different aspects of it and cried several times, which isn’t that common for me. It is safe to say that this is definitely one of my favourite books of the year!
5/5
The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
I started my re-read of the entire Shadowhunter chronicles this month in preparation for the release of Queen of Air and Darkness that came out this Tuesday (I already have 2 copies of it and I regret nothing!). I started with the Infernal Devices, which I ADORE! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about these books and I cried pretty much the whole way through the last book. Clary and Jace will always hold a special place in my heart, but Jem, Tessa and Will are my favourite characters and I can say that with absolute certainty.
5/5 (for all three)
Those were all 4 books that I read in Novemeber. It was a smaller wrap-up than I have been doing this year, but I am still proud of myself and think it is still a pretty strong reading month seeing as I have just gotten out of a slump and I have a lot of exams going on for school and a lot of things in my personal life, so 4 books (and 4 big books at that) is pretty good going. What have you read this month? I’d love to know, so leave a comment down below or come and tell me over on my Instagram (@theoriginalbookdragon)!
Goodbye for now!
