Hello Everyone!
We are on the penultimate do of the 30-day-book-challenge (day 29), which means we are very close to the end and also that we are going to be talking about a book that everyone else hates, but I love. I really struggled with this prompt. As a general rule I like almost all of the popular books and dislike the unpopular books. There are a few books that could have technically fit this prompt like the fallen series by Lauren Kate or pretty much any John Green book because I do really love all of them, but I wouldn’t say that everyone else hated them. A lot of people didn’t like them, but they are not awful. The only book I could think of that fit this prompt even slightly was the twilight series because everyone does hate them and I don’t. I don’t love them, but I they’re okay.
This left me stumped on what to do for this prompt, so I have instead decided to change the prompt slightly to be a book you loved, but others were disappointed by because I think that is more reasonable and I can find a few books that would fit that prompt. I therefore decided to go with the Half Bad Trilogy by Sally Green. I haven’t read loads of reviews for this book series, but the ones I have seen have been fairly negative. I personally really loved this trilogy, but it seems the general consensus is that a lot of people were let down with it. They seem to have been expecting something else or thought it was too similar to other books they had read. I personally disagree, but everyone has a right to their own opinion.
Sorry this post was a bit all over the place and might not have made much sense, but this prompt was difficult. What book do you love, but others hate? Are you struggling to find an answer like I did? I’d love to know, so leave a comment down below or come and chat to me over on my Instagram (@theoriginalbookdragon)
Goodbye for now!
