Hello Everyone!
We’ve made it to Day 20 of the 30-day-book-challenge, which means we are officially two thirds of the way through! Today’s prompt is your favourite romance book and I have chosen the Fallen Series by Lauren Kate!
If you have been following my blog the last month or so, then you will know that I was reading the Fallen series throughout September and October and although it took me a long time to read them, I did really love them. They were cliche in a lot of ways and I did predict a few of the plot twists, but there were also a lot that I didn’t predict and whether or not it was fabulously written, I was still incredibly invested in the characters and sobbed at the end. I am generally not a cryer when it comes to books and have only ever read 3 other books that have made me cry (all of which have been contemporary and I have related to them in a very personal way), so to cry at a fantasy novel, which had absolutely no relevance to my life is very out of character for me and I think proves that they are good romance books. They are flawed in many ways as I said, but it doesn’t bother me too much and the love story was gripping and raw. I’m sure they won’t b for everyone, but I liked them.
