Hello Everyone!
It is Day 13, which means today we are talking about my favourite author/writer! I have been looking forward to writing this post since I started this 30-day challenge because it is an excuse to gush all about the writers and books I love! Feel free to tell me who your favourite author is in the comments below or over on my Instagram (@theoriginalbookdragon) because I’d love to know and have a conversation with you all!
I would tell you that I tried my hardest to narrow my long list down to just one author to talk about, but that would be lying. I just couldn’t even think about not including some authors, so I am going to talk briefly about 2 that I would call my ‘favourites’ and then I am going to do a mini list of some other authors that I love. The two main authors I am going to talk about are Leigh Bardugo and Cassandra Clare. I know – I bet you’re all so surprised aren’t you?!
Cassandra Clare – She is an author that I have been reading from since before I knew anything about this whole online book community and she was the first author I really fell in love with. It was her books that prompted me to go online and find fanart, fanfiction and other people to talk to about her books because I loved them so much! No matter how many more books I read and how many new authors I fall in love with, Cassandra Clare will always have a special place in my heart.
Leigh Bardugo – If you have read any of my recent posts then I am sure you will have heard me gush about Leigh Bardugo and her books because I LOVE them! I read the Grisha trilogy earlier this year and fell in love immediately. I thought it couldn’t get any better and then I read the Six of Crows Duology and I was blown away. I adore her writing, her books, her story-telling, her characters and her world and that will NEVER change!
