Hello Everyone!
As you are reading this I am enjoying the first week of my first trip to the USA and I am having a fantabulous time, but with a holiday there usually comes a huge holiday reading list and that is definatly the case this time around. I have travelled abroad this holiday, so I am no longer in the comfort of my small little island of the UK where the only restrictions I have are what will fit in the car. I now have to worry about suitcases and weight and all the stuff that I am going to buy that then has to make it home again. Therefore in order to save space – and my sanity from the stress of keeping my books clean and undamaged – I am not taking any physical books. I will be reading on my I-pad and I thought that you all might want to know what is on my reading list, so I am going to give you all just that. Buckle up because it is quite long list and we might be here for a while.
Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Jonson and Robin Wasserman
This has been on my reading list for ages, but because of the sheer amount of books I have I simply just never gotten around to reading them, but with my trip to America I thought it would be a perfect time to get them read because I do have it on the kindle app. I plan to get these read on the plane there because it is a long haul eight hour flight and I don’t know about any of you but eight hours is plenty of time to read a book in.
The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
Can you see a theme here yet? Yes I do love Cassandra Clare and anything she writes I buy it without even a doubt in my mind because I just know it will be amazing. I thought I would read these in America because I don’t have a physical copy and so it is hard for me to find time to read them because I can’t bring e-books to school (incredibly unfortunate) and they have also been on the reading list since I read The Mortal Instruments back in February of 2015. Are you impressed I remembered that date? Because I am! I have heard so many good things about them and my Mum is also a massive Cassandra Clare fan and is dying to talk to me about them, so they are finally going to get read. I hoping that by the time I leave New York (Week 1 of the holiday) I will have finished them.
The House of Night Series by P.C. Kristin Cast
This series is the last one that I hoping to get read while I am away and I am sure you are all thinking that this hasn’t been a very long list, but you haven’t heard how many books there are in this last series yet… 12! Yes you read that right. There are 12 books in the house of night series and I hoping to read all of them in just a week and a half! That might sound crazy, but put it this way. I have a whole week just sitting in florida by the pool with absolutely nothing planned. Slow mornings, late nights and not much in between, so I think I can get them all read. I also have the insentive of if I don’t get them read, then my Best Friend is going to nag me until I do because she read them months ago and I have been meaning to do so as well, but as I mentioned before, with them in e-book form I can’t take them to school, which presents quite a dilemma.
So that is it! That is everything that I am planning to read in April. I might have time to start reading another of my many trilogy’s and series that is lined up on my TBR shelf, but we will see how the month goes and whether I finish reading the house of night series while I am in America. What are you planning to read this April? Do any of you live in America or are any of you on holiday here like me for Easter?
Goodbye for now!
