For my first ever book review I am going to be talking to you about Nerve by Jeanne Ryan.
First and foremost I highly recommend it. It is an amazing fast paced book and I couldn’t put it down. So much happens and you don’t ever really know which way a situation is going to go. When I first bought it I wasn’t to sure about it because I had never seen any books written by her before and it is set in the real world. Previously I haven’t read very many books like that purely because if I am going to read I want to go somewhere else and live someone else’s life in their world. This made me sceptical, but I bought it anyway and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is so amazing.
I won’t give too much away about the book, but I will give you a very brief overview: It is centered around a girl called Vee, who signs up to play a brand new game called NERVE. The object of the game is that you have to complete dares in order to win prizes. The book follows Vee’s journey through the game and all the problems she faces as well as bit of good old fashioned friendship drama.
All in all I would give this book a 4/5 and if anyone ever asks me about books to read I will definitely suggest this one. I have also just purchased another book by Jeanne called ‘Charisma’. I haven’t read it yet, but I have high hopes for it and I will be trying more books set in the real world in the future.
Goodbye for now guys!
