Day 23 – A book that has been on your TBR for ages

Hello Everyone!

It is Day 23 of the 30-day-book-challenge, which means today’s prompt is a book that has been on your TBR for ages! The actual prompt was a book you’ve wanted to read for a long time, but still haven’t, but that was too long to put on my pretty graphic above without changing the font size, but I didn’t want to do that because then it wouldn’t match the rest, so I made an alteration, but it still means the same thing!

Technicalities of the prompt aside, the book I have chosen to talk about today is the Throne of Glass series by Sarah.J.Maas. I know this is a very controversial series, but since I clearly haven’t read it I am not really in a place to add to that discussion. I think once I have read them, I will be doing a series review on them, so that I can add my voice to the discussion. Now to why I haven’t read them yet…

I do actually own all of the books in the series now, which a lot of people might think is a waste of money, but  am very good at knowing whether or not I am going to like books and I have good feeling about these despite the fact that they are quite problematic. The real reason I haven’t read them yet though it because I was waiting for the final book to come out. I am awful at waiting for new books to come out and much prefer to marathon my series all in one go, so I didn’t want to start a series that wasn’t finished yet. That is really the only real reason why I haven’t read them. It isn’t because I have been put off by the hype or because I have been told a lot of negative things about them. It was just that I’m impatient and didn’t want to wait to find out what happened! Now that the final book is out though I will be reading them in early next year, so you can look forward to a series review probably around February/March time.
