Hello Everyone!
It is Day 17, which means today’s prompt is ‘Your favourite quote from your favourite book’. I thought about how I was going to do this post for a while because it is hard enough to choose a favourite book, but to choose just one quote from that book to say is your ‘favourite’ is a very large task. I have therefore decided to list some of my favourite quotes from a number of my favourite books fro you all to read. Tell me what your favourite quote is in the comments or come and tell me about it on my Instagram (@theoriginalbookdragon)!
“I have been made to protect you. Only in death will I be kept from this oath.” – Matthias Helver, Crooked Kingdom
“I like it when men beg, but this isn’t the time for it” – Kas Brekker, Six of Crows
“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be” – Harry Potter
“Light can be found in even the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light.” – Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter
“One must always be careful of books, for words have the power to change us.” – Tessa Gray
“Sarcasm is the last refuge of the imaginatively bankrupt.” – Clary Fray (I think)
“It was books that made me feel that perhaps I wasn’t completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them” – William Herondale, Clockwork Prince
There are many more quotes that I adore from many other books, but these are just a small collection of my favourites. They all mean something to me and that is why it is so difficult to choose a favourite. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading some of my favourite quotes and I’ll see you tomorrow for another post!
Goodbye for now!
