Happy Friday everyone!
Today it is exactly half way through the year, so I thought today we could look back on the first half of 2017 and see how I have done with the goals I set myself this year. Each year I like too set myself 5 reasonable and achievable goals to have a go at, so I suppose to get us started I should tell you what my goals were:
- Eat healthier
- Read a wider range of books
- Start a blog
- Sort out my Instagram
Those are my goals for this year and it is clear to everyone reading this that I have definatly ticked off one of them. I made a blog and I am so glad I did because I really do enjoy writing these posts and having somewhere to share my creativity and travels. I think I have done a good job with my Instagram account as well (@weeklybookcraft) because I have sorted out my feed and I am really starting to enjoy posting on there. I was never really happy with the content I was putting up, but I am much happier with it now and I have a proper camera as well which makes taking photos so much easier.
I have 100% been reading more this year. I have gotten 26 books read so far this year, which I am really proud of. I am a pretty average reader when it comes to how long it takes me to finish a book, but I always have so much going on in my life that I always seemed to lack the time. I do love reading though and being able to do it more has been amazing. I also think IO have done alright at reading a wider range at books. I am currently trying to eat through my massive TBR pile and a lot of that is my usually genre, but I have managed to throw a few curve balls in: Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, Areh by Jeffrey Kinsey and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I did do book reviews on the first two, so you can go and check them out if you want.
My attempt at eating healthier is not a complete failure, but it is not as good as it could be. I have introduced some healthier foods into what I eat, but I am incredibly picky, so it is difficult to find things I like.
Overall I think I have done well. I have completed 2 and I am at about 90% with another 2. I have a little way to go with the food thing, but I expected that one to take more time and even to role over into next year, which is perfectly fine with me.
How are you guys doing with you goals this year? I love to know!
Goodbye for now!
