Hello World!
It is time again for another book review and today I am going to be telling you all about Ink by Alice Broadway. I actually read this quite a while ago – towards the end of March – but I was away in the USA as many of you know by now meaning I haven’t had time to sit down and write a review. I have now found the time though so now I will tell you all about it.
Ink was one of those books that I bought on impulse at Waterstones from the buy one get one half price table. I saw it and I instantly fell in love with the cover (which is just drop dead gorgeous) and then fell in love even more after reading the synopsis. I included this book and its synopsis in my ‘March Reads’ so if you are interested then you can go and have a read of that but the basic over view is this: The main character lives in a world where everything they do gets inked onto their skin. This of course creates quite a lot of problems though when you have something to hide!
This book had me gripped form start to finish. There truly was never a dull moment; even I didn’t see the plot twist coming at the end which is quite unusual for me! I looked up Alice Broadway after finishing the book and found that she has signed a 3 book deal with her publisher which means there are going to be another 2 books from her at least (hopefully in the same world!) which I am immensely excited about.
If anyone is looking for a really good, gripping read then I would highly recommend you buy this book because I have nothing but good things to say about it. Also, as I mentioned earlier, the cover is exquisite so it is worth buying just so that you can say you have such a beautiful book on your shelves! Have any of you read this book? It is quite new so you might not have but let me know if you have!
Goodbye for now!
